Completed Build — Commercial Planting
River Street Marketplace
San Juan Capistrano, CA
Planting restoration across an open-air retail marketplace, working to the landscape architect's replacement plan. Over 100 California natives and drought-tolerant specimens installed around specimen sycamores, with drip irrigation retrofit and post-and-rope barriers set to protect new plantings from foot traffic — the reason the previous round failed. Installed on a working property, around open shops and outdoor dining, without closing the walkways.

Church Courtyard Labyrinth
32202 Del Obispo St, San Juan Capistrano, CA
A patchy, weed-worn courtyard rebuilt as a walking labyrinth in paver. Concentric paths laid in two tones with a cross at the center, wrapped in turf and drought-tolerant planting beds, tied into the existing concrete walkways and bench seating. Every curve is cut and set by hand — no straight lines to hide behind.

Front Yard Redesign with Pavers
Orange County, CA
Designed in 3D so the owner could make decisions before anything was built — and she did, simplifying the plan by removing the entry pillars and the island planter. The finished yard features a paver driveway approach, wide paver entry steps, a drought-tolerant planting bed, and turf. Shown as designed and as built; plantings photographed at install size, before fill-in.

A drought-tolerant xeriscape transformation featuring bold desert specimens — saguaro cactus, agave, golden barrel cactus, and flagstone stepping pathways lit by warm garden lights.

The Dream Backyard
Orange County, CA
A full outdoor living transformation centered around a California Room with outdoor kitchen, built-in grill, wine fridge, fireplace lounge, and resort-style pool patio. Designed with photorealistic 3D renders so the client could see the vision before breaking ground.

Riverstreet Marketplace Courtyard
Orange County, CA
Full landscape design for a commercial marketplace courtyard — shade trees, agave and pink muhly planting beds, decorative boulders, a central pergola, and paver hardscape to create a gathering destination.

Trex Deck Build
Orange County, CA
18 × 14 ft floating deck in Trex composite decking. Three-step entry, clean fascia wrap, set over a compacted base. Composite holds its color and doesn't splinter, warp, or need sealing — it just looks good and stays that way.

Paver Patio Installation
Orange County, CA
200 sq ft backyard paver patio installation. Random pattern layout with tight joints, proper base compaction, and seamless transition from the existing structure.

Tropical Planting Install
Orange County, CA
Tropical planting installation featuring sago palms, colorful cordylines, and lush ground cover set in lava rock mulch — plus a cedar fence planting bed with fresh plantings along a patio.

Commercial Bed Protection
San Juan Capistrano, CA
Post-and-rope barriers set around new planting beds at a retail marketplace. The previous planting failed to trampling, so the barrier is not decoration — it is the reason this round survives. Posts set in concrete, rope tensioned and whipped at the ends, drip lines run beneath.

Labyrinth Centerpiece — Paver Detail
San Juan Capistrano, CA
The center of the church labyrinth. Every paver on the radius is cut individually so the concentric rings hold true, with the cross set in contrasting stone. Curved paver work has nowhere to hide — the joint lines either run clean or they do not.

Paver Driveway & Entry — Built
Orange County, CA
The finished hardscape from our front yard redesign: a full paver driveway approach and wide entry steps, laid over a compacted base with geotextile separation and a sand-set bed. Interlocking pavers, tight joint lines, and a clean edge against the planting bed.
